Whew I've been absent from this place for a while and exactly three months at that. I have no excuse why I haven't blogged but I guess its better late than never. I'll try not to neglect this space.
One thing for sure about living in Korea is that you will absolutely never go hungry. There is a mom and pop restaurant on every square footage it seems and I mean every single foot. It would be completely impossible to eat your way thru this country but I'm definitely going to try.
Today we ventured off base and had lunch at a place called Jacoby's Burger and it was so tasty. When you walk in they give you a menu with a notecard to select the type of meal you want. It's a burger house so of course we went for the Jacoby Burger (H1 to be exact). You select the bread, cheese, meat temp, condiments , sides and then turn your selections in. The waiter will bring your drinks and while you wait you get to enjoy the views of the streets from vendors, bike riders, taxi cabs and those who live in the area. We walked right up to eat without any delays and the service was great.
The decor on the inside was so unique to me as I'm sure Jacoby was someone famous. I'll have to look that up.
I could not resist my burger and the fries were so fresh and delicious and fresh. We couldn't eat them all. I just can't resist a burger with pepper jack cheese on it.
